Harsiddhi Shakti temple was established by a group of local hindus in the 1990’s looking to promote their religion and love for the Mother Goddess Durga Devi. Our temple had it's humble beginnings in Hyattsville, maryland around 1994. In the year 2001, we purchase a modest plot of land to house a small temple. In 1994
Our Mission
Promote and educate the regional DC area Hindu community about Sanatan Vedic Dharma and Vedanta, practice our ancient form of worship through puja, satsang, and religious discourse.
Our goal is to establish, build, foster, and operate a tradition Hindu Temple. We promote religious, spiritual, cultural, and civic educational and social improvment among those who belong to the hindu faith. The atmosphere of the temple and darshan of the devi bestows you with peace and spiritual awareness.
Religous Occasionals
Our temple offers a modest setting for your most sacred celebrations; weddings, birthdays, anniversarys, religious festivals, and sacred sanskars. We offer religious healing through customized prayers based on your vedic astrology readings, navagraha puja, and extensive homas (fire sacrifice).

Maha Shivaratri Celebration
Friday March 8th, 9am Shiva Puja and Havan; 5pm to 5am shivaratri puja, katha, and meditation

Weekly Abhishekam of 4 ft Shiva linga, Parvati, Ganesha, Venkatesha, Hanuman, and navagraha murtis, all of South Indian design and celebrated 4nd year anniversary in Sept 2023.
​
In 2021 we improved the temple entrance with stone walls and widen the driveway and concrete work at the temple entrance walkway.
In 2022 we enclosed the walkway between buildings.
​
In 2023 we updated the outdoor yagna havan room and completed a new fence one side of the property. Custom made Brass Vasuki for Shiva linga and kalasha for aramandapa have been purchased.
